Produced in collaboration with Ivana Dizdar for the 2014 Roundtable Residency hosted by the Dragon Academy in Toronto.

Meeting Minutes is an investigation of local history – specifically a history of spatial politics in the Annex circa 1982. The installation is based on newspaper articles, municipal documents, and Annex Residents’ Association (A.R.A.) meeting minutes.

In acknowledgement of the Dragon Academy as a formerly domestic space, the room that Meeting Minutes occupies has been transformed into the office of Irving Wright – a fictional A.R.A. member and note taker, and one of the characters in a recorded meeting dialogue.

In supplementing factual information with fictional narratives and interventions, Meeting Minutes raises questions about the construction and consumption of history.
